If you’ve always wanted to make Braciole, but have been intimidated, we have a recipe for you. Our step-by-step-video will show how easy Steak Braciole is to make. Pre-heat oven to 350 F

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Pound out steaks between parchment paper thin but not too thin. Set aside.
  2. In food processor, add cottage cheese, pulse to begin creaming. Add spinach. Cream together. If using a bowl, chop spinach first, then add cottage cheese.
  3. Salt & pepper top side of steaks.
  4. Spread a thin layer of cottage cheese mixture on each steak.
  5. Cover with a sprinkling of bread crumbs and parmesan cheese.
  6. Roll up steaks and secure with either two toothpicks or string.
  7. Heat Dutch Oven on medium high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil
  8. Sear both sides of steaks, set aside
  9. Add onions and garlic, cook until fragrant.
  10. Deglaze with wine, scrape the fond. Add tomatoes and spices. Bring up to a simmer.
  11. Return beef, cover and place in the oven for 2 hours.
  12. Remove toothpicks/string. Cover with sauce and serve with a topping over parmasen cheese. If you wish you can plate this on top of your favorite pasta.

Notes

  • We recommend 1lb of pasta for 6 servings as the pasta ratio here should be less than normal.
