Dough Ingredients

  • 2 C Cottage cheese

  • 3 C Self-rising flour

  • Optional Toppings
  • 1 Egg

  • 2 Tbsp Melted butter

  • Course salt to taste

  • 1 tsp Milk

  • Everything Bagel Seasoning

  • Grated parmesan cheese to taste

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 375 F
  • Cream the cottage cheese in your favorite food processor
  • Sift flour into a large mixing bowl
  • Slowly add creamed cottage cheese to the flour to thoroughly incorporate
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll 6 even sized balls. With your thumb make a hole in the center and shape the dough into a bagel.
  • Place bagels on a baking sheet covered with Parchment Paper
  • Make an egg wash with egg and water. Baste on to top of bagels.
  • Add your favorite toppings.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes until slightly golden
  • Baste tops with butter
  • Bake For 5-10 more minutes until golden brown.
